Mike Teavee has a Posse
(re-)reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with the kiddo, and it occurs to me that up until the moment where he runs to the movie camera, Mike Teavee is basically the voice of reason.
I wonder if Dahl was trying to say something with that, like more time spent watching TV made him less accepting of the fantastic things he was seeing and hearing iinside the factory, and more skeptical/rational, and (to Dahl, or at least Willy Wonka) that’s a bad thing. 📚
